I hereby give you notice that the BARROWBY PARISH COUNCIL BUILDING AND ASSETS COMMITTEE MEETING will be held at the Pavilion, Barrowby on Monday 30th March 2026 at 7.30pm.   All members of the Parish Council Buildings and Assets Committee are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted as set out hereunder.

3. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND REQUESTS FOR DISPENSATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 
To resolve to accept the minutes of the Pavilion Committee Meeting held on 19th January 2026. (Appendix A)

To note and receive updates on the Clerk’s report. (Appendix B)
 
6. REPORTS FROM SUB COMMITTEES
6.1. To receive a report from RAGS.
6.2. To receive a report from the Flower Group. 
 
7. BUILDING AND ASSETS MATTERS ARISING - MAINTENANCE
 
7.1.1. Pavilion. To receive a verbal update on works carried out at the Pavilion since the last meeting
7.1.1.1. To resolve to approve recommended hot water system upgrade options. (Appendix C, D)
7.1.1.2. To discuss closure of Pre-school on March 31st, and relative impacts.
 
7.1.2. Low Fields. To receive a verbal update on works carried out at the Lowfields since the last meeting
7.1.2.1. To report on Investigation to connect Septic tank to main sewerage system and resolve to approve continuing researching this option (Appendix E, F). 
7.1.2.2. To resolve to approve quote to address the drainage issue at the entrance of Low fields from Mill Row path. (not yet received) (Appendix G)
7.1.2.3. To discuss and approve next steps for general drainage issues on Low Fields (Appendix J – email, K - image)
7.1.2.4. To note the current provision of approximately 800 dog waste bags at Lowfields per three-month period. 
 
7.1.3. Reading Room To receive a verbal update on works carried out at the Reading Room since the last meeting
7.1.3.1. To consider and resolve the priority maintenance items for the Reading Room. (Appendix H)
7.1.3.2. To consider and resolve whether to approve officer time to investigate grant funding opportunities relating to those improvements.
7.1.3.3. To consider and resolve preferred option for noise reduction at the Reading Room. (Appendix M)
 
7.1.4. Trees
7.1.4.1. To resolve to approve tree work from quotes received (Appendix N Email Quote 4461)
 
7.1.5. Pony Paddock
7.1.5.1. To resolve to approve cutting of the Pony Paddock in 
i. Early April
ii. Late June / early July
iii. Late August / September
with a visual wildlife check before cutting. (Appendix O)
7.1.5.2. To consider and resolve any next steps regarding engagement with Longhurst developer regarding the Pony Paddock and access via Walkers Way (Appendix P)
 
7.1.6. Defibrillators To receive a verbal update on works carried out on Defibrillators since the last meeting
7.1.6.1. To consider and resolve to approve purchase of bleed kits (Appendix Q) 
 
7.1.7. Play Parks. To receive a verbal update on works carried out on Play Parks since the last meeting
7.1.7.1. To resolve to approve cleaning quote for Village Green. (Appendix I)
 
7.1.8. Other
7.1.8.1. To note date for Pavilion user group meeting
7.1.8.2. To receive a verbal update on the Coach House and note any outstanding actions.
 
8. FINANCES
8.1. To review tracking budget and current balances for the Pavilion and Low fields. (Appendix L)
 
9. CAPTURE OF FUTURE ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION / AGENDA ITEMS
To allow Committee members to highlight matters to be considered for inclusion on a future agenda. No discussion on the content of the topics will take place.
