Residents are warmly invited to attend Barrowby’s Annual Parish Meeting on Wednesday 13th May at 6.30pm at The Reading Room, Church Street. Due to the inclemant weather predicted, it has been decided that the Reading Room will be a more suitable venue
This year’s Annual Parish Meeting will be a friendly community event and will also include the official opening of Barrowby’s new Community Orchard.
The meeting is an opportunity for residents to meet Parish Councillors, local community groups, the County Councillor and District Councillors. It is also a chance to hear about what has been happening across the parish over the past year and to share views on what the Parish Council should focus on in the year ahead.
Local groups have been invited to attend, and residents will be able to chat with them about their work, activities and opportunities to get involved.
The Community Orchard, planted at The Willows, is an exciting new project for Barrowby and has been made possible through the support of partners, volunteers and grant funding. The orchard will provide a new space for nature, community involvement and future seasonal activities.
Refreshments will be available.
Everyone is welcome, and the Parish Council would be delighted to see as many residents as possible attending and taking part in the conversation about Barrowby’s future.
