Barrowby Parish Council voted unanimously at its Extraordinary Meeting to oppose the 90-home Rectory Lane application, concluding the proposal would not benefit or enhance the village.

At an Extraordinary Meeting of Barrowby Parish Council, councillors considered a planning application for 90 new homes on land off Rectory Lane (Planning Ref: S26/00235).

Following discussion, the Parish Council voted unanimously to oppose the application.

As a statutory consultee, the Parish Council is required to consider all planning applications on their individual merits. After reviewing the information available, councillors felt very strongly that the proposed development would not benefit or enhance the village of Barrowby, and therefore resolved to submit an objection to the planning authority.

The application will be determined by South Kesteven District Council, which is the local planning authority responsible for making the final decision.
