Minutes of the Barrowby Parish Council Staffing Committee Meeting held on Friday 26th June 2026 at the Pavilion, Low Road, Barrowby at 10am
In attendance:
Cllrs: M Brown, P Brown, Footitt, Lees, McConnoll-Good.

PUBLIC FORUM: No members of the public were present. Meeting started 10.07am
1. ELECTION OF CHAIR (26/001)
Cllr Jo Footit was unanimously elected as Chair
2. WELCOME REMARKS (26/002)
The Chair welcomed members to the meeting.
3. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE & REASONS GIVEN (26/003)
No apologies received. Cllr Cupit was absent.
4. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST AND REQUESTS FOR DISPENSATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011 (26/004)
None received
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES (26/005)
It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the Staffing Committee meeting held on 13th March 2026.
6. STAFFING MATTERS (26/006)
a) It was resolved to move into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies Act 1960, due to the confidential nature of matters to be discussed. 10.10am
b) A verbal update on staff appraisals was received.
c) A review of staffing pay scale points was completed. It was RESOLVED to make a recommendation to Full Council for consideration in confidential session ACTION: Clerk to take recommendations to full council.
d) A verbal update on the Handyperson was received. ACTION: Cllr Lees to speak with D. Pearce
e) It was resolved to return to open session 11.07am.
7. CAPTURE OF FUTURE ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION / AGENDA ITEMS (26/007)
Review of policies and procedures.
8. DATE OF NEXT MEETING (26/008) Provisionally set for 4th December
