I hereby give you notice that the BARROWBY PARISH COUNCIL BURIAL GROUND COMMITTEE MEETING will be held at the Reading Room, Church Street on Tuesday 6th October 2026 at 1.30pm.
All members of the Parish Council Burial Ground Committee are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted as set out hereunder.

3. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF PECUNIARY INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011
a. To receive declarations of members’ interests in relation to agenda items.
b. To consider requests for dispensations from members.
4. MINUTES
To resolve to approve the notes from the Burial Ground Committee meeting held on 26th June 2026
5. BURIAL GROUND MATTERS ARISING
a. To receive an update on Burial Ground activity since the last meeting.
b. To receive and update on the investigations taking place at the Burial Ground and resolve to approve any next steps.
c. To note the increase in Grave Digger fees for burials to £350.00 per single burial and £400.00 per double burial which came into effect 1st September 2026.
d. To receive an update on what grounds maintenance has been completed since the last meeting and what is still required.
e. To receive an update on the bequest to the burial ground.
f. To consider splitting of consecrated and non consecrated area for burials and ashes, and to review costs for different areas.
g. To consider the Council’s approach to non-resident applications for interment and Exclusive Right of Burial.
h. To note progress on loading data onto SCRIBE Cemetery.
i. To resolve to approve overtime for the litter collector to clear leaves
j. To note correspondence received relating to the Burial Ground.
6. GARDEN OF REFLECTION
To receive an update on the Garden of Reflection.
7. CAPTURE OF FUTURE ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION / AGENDA ITEMS
To allow councillors to highlight matters to be considered for inclusion on a future agenda. No discussion on the content of the topics will take place.
